De La Roche Shiraz
Wine
Bannockburn De La Roche Shiraz takes its name from the volcanic debris scattered throughout the vineyard; it translates as 'of the rocks'. A close planted Shiraz block, it could well be unique in Australia.
The grapes wild ferment with a large proportion of whole bunches and spend two weeks on skins. They are then pressed and racked to new and seasoned French oak for maturation. The wine is lightly filtered at bottling.
Crimson purple, Bannockburn De La Roche Shiraz is elegant and fragrant with dark fruit flavours and fine, chalky tannins. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
